Outback Building Safe for Occupancy

Some issues still need to be worked out before the building will be open for events.

NEW CANAAN, CT—The former Outback Teen Center building was deemed safe for occupancy.

Some work still needs to be completed including fixing a broken elevator and investigating a potential beetle infestation in the wood, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

The building won't be used for events until issues are remedied.

The status of the building had been up in the air after conflicting reports about the safety of the structure. The town inherited the property after the non-profit that ran the teen center folded.
