Person Dies of Gunshot Wound in New Canaan: Police
Police responded Tuesday afternoon after getting a call about a person armed with a handgun on a North Wilton Road property.
NEW CANAAN, CT- Police are investigating after a person died of a fatal gunshot wound Tuesday on North Wilton Road.
The department got a call around 1:30 p.m. that an individual armed with a handgun was on the property of private residence at 721 North Wilton Road.
The gunshot victim was located on the property by officers and was treated at the scene, but didn't survive, said Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.

Police didn't release any identifying information about the victim or whether it was a self-inflicted wound.
The investigation is active and police won't release more information until it is further along, Krolikowski said.
