PD: Man Wanted to Keep Partying, Pulled Woman from Vehicle
A man allegedly left the woman on the side of a New Canaan road because he wanted to keep partying despite her insistence to end the night.

A New York man was arrested after he allegedly pulled a woman from a car and left her on the side of the road in order to keep partying.
Police were dispatched to the intersection of Hoyt Farm and New Norwalk roads on August 22 just before midnight after a nearby person reported seeing a woman thrown from a vehicle.
Officer spoke to the female victim who had bruises and cuts on her right knee. She said she was traveling with two male friends and indicated she wanted to go home. They didn’t want to go home and wanted to continue partying, police said.

Police couldn’t locate the suspect vehicle, but got a call later from Pound Ridge Police that they had made contact with the involved individuals and that they would be coming back to New Canaan.
One man, later identified as Scott Conney, 37, of Pound Ridge was determined to have pulled the woman from the vehicle when it was stopped, according to police.

Conney was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
