PD: Wanted Man Taken into Custody in New Canaan
The man was originally pulled over because his vehicle was a suspect in Darien car break-ins.
A man wanted on three outstanding warrants was taken into custody by New Canaan Police.
An officer on patrol Jan. 2 around 1:55 a.m. noticed a vehicle on Marvin Ridge Road that had a license plate wanted in connection with several larcenies from motor vehicles that occurred on Dec. 10 in Darien.
The vehicle was pulled over and operator Eric Williams, 49, of New Haven was taken into custody on three outstanding warrants that charged him with violation of conditions of release. He was held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
