Police: Man Busted for Marijuana Possession in Lakeview Cemetery

A New Canaan man was issued a summons after he was allegedly caught with marijuana inside Lakeview Cemetery.

An officer was on patrol in the area on the evening of May 6 and noticed two males walking into the cemetery, police said.

Police have found people using illicit drugs in the past.

The two males changed direction after noticing the officer, according to police.

The officer questioned the two and asked if they had any illicit drugs on them. One said no and the other didn’t respond, but then said yes, police said.

Officers confiscated a small amount of marijuana, rolling papers and filter tips.

Devin Quirk, 20 of Avalon Drive East was issued a summons for possession of a half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
