Presentations on Boarding or Day School Admissions Process at Chyten Educational Services
Educational Service Providers Offer Advice at Talks in Darien and New Canaan
Parents who are considering local independent day schools or boarding schools for their children can learn about admissions requirements, strategy, and test preparation from two local educational service experts in June. Barbara Levine from Chyten Educational Services and Kristin White of Darien Academic Advisors will present “How to Get Into Your Top Choice Boarding School or Day School” on June 22 at 6 p.m. at Chyten’s Darien center at 1063 Post Road and on June 24 at 6 p.m. at Chyten’s New Canaan center at 70 Main Street. Admission to the presentations is free, but reservations are required by emailing Barbara Levine at blevine@chyten.com or calling (203) 972-3600.
As the owner of Chyten Educational Services, Barbara Levine has worked with almost two thousand students to help them achieve their personal best on the SSAT, ISEE, SAT/ACT and academic subjects. Barbara began a career in consulting over 25 years ago after receiving her Master’s degree from Harvard University. She opened her first Chyten center in New Canaan 8 years ago and expanded to a second location in Darien in 2013.
Kristin White, partner at Darien Academic Advisors, has advised hundreds of students and parents on how to navigate the independent school admissions process. She has written for several newspapers and educational newsletters, and is also the author of It’s the Student, Not the College: The Secrets of Succeeding at Any School—Without Going Broke or Crazy and The Complete Guide to the Gap Year. White is a member of the New England Association for College Admissions Counseling and the Independent Educational Consultants Association, and is a graduate of Georgetown University with an MBA from University of Texas-Austin.
