Public Hearing Being Held Tonight on Fate of Town Hall Maple Tree
A tree in front of New Canaan town hall is being considered for removal.

A public hearing will be held tonight (June 2) at 7 p.m. at police headquarters regarding the fate of the maple tree in front of town hall.
The tree is scheduled to be removed because it is classified as invasive, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
There is a danger posed by the tree because it isn’t deeply-rooted and a strong wind could uproot it.
