Renovation Of Ballfields Begins At New Canaan's Mead Park
The park itself will remain open during the project.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Renovation work has begun on the baseball/softball fields at Mead Park, according to the New Canaan Department of Public Works and New Canaan Baseball, which posted a video of the work on its Facebook page (see below).
"The Playground will be open for Park Patrons," wrote DPW officials. "And the Mead Park Lodge will be open for food and concessions throughout the construction."
Discussion on the project goes back at least a couple of years, and it will include new fences, lights and other improvements. At the time, the New Canaan News wrote that the renovation was estimated to cost about $885,000.
