Road Flagman Allegedly Pleasured Himself In New Canaan: Police

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 26-year-old New Haven man, who was on a break from his road flagman job, was arrested and charged with public indecency Thursday after he allegedly was spotted masturbating in his vehicle on South Avenue near Hawthorn Road, according to New Canaan police.

Officers were dispatched to the area at about noon after a witness reported allegedly seening Thomas A. Whye pleasuring himself.

According to police, Whye told officers that, yes, "his pants were down and he was fixing his underwear and adjusting his genitals," but he was not in the act of pleasuring himself.

Whye was taken into custody and held in lieu of $1,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on June 25.
