Rubio Attracts Donors at New Canaan Event
The traditional stronghold of the Bush family is seeing another Republican presidential hopeful raise money.
Presidential hopeful and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio is going into Jeb Bush’s funding war chest territory.
Rubio stood to raise up to $200,000 at a fundraising reception at the New Canaan home of hedge fund manager Alexander Seaver held Thursday night, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Bush is the top fundraiser in Connecticut at more than $839,000 in part thanks to his connections via grandfather Prescott Bush. Rubio is second with more than $127,000.
