
Camera Equipment Stolen
Nearly $3,000 in camera equipment was reported stolen from a vehicle on Old Norwalk Road.
The owner reported the incident to police on Sept. 22 and said he left the equipment in the vehicle Sept. 18.

There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle, police said.
Taken was a Nikon brand camera body valued at $1,499 along with two lenses and a flash.

Safe and Jewelry Taken
A safe and laptop were reported stolen during a burglary on Middle Ridge Road.
Police were called to the residence Sept. 24. The house was secure, but the alarm wasn’t set, police said.
It appears that the thief or thieves forced open a garage window to gain entry.
A $500 laptop and a safe containing jewelry were stolen, police said. The combined value of the safe and jewelry was $2,000.
Police continue to investigate.
K-9 Apollo
K-9 Apollo discovered more drugs in New Canaan after a motor vehicle stop.
An officer on Smith Ridge Road checked a vehicle registration and noticed it was expired, police said. The vehicle was pulled over on New Norwalk Road.
The officer smelled the odor of marijuana and K-9 Apollo searched the vehicle. Marijuana was discovered in the center console and the vehicle operator was charged with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
