Search Is On For Owner, Dog That Attacked Small New Canaan Dog
The incident, which left the small dog severely injured, occurred on the evening of July 11 near Crystal Street.

NEW CANAAN, CT — An off-leash shepherd-type dog attacked a mini doodle in the back of South School near Crystal Street on July 11, severely injuring the small dog, and now New Canaan police are asking for the public's help in finding the owner and the attacking animal.
According to New Canaan Police Animal Control Officer Allyson Halm, the incident occurred at about 8:50 p.m. See the photo of the shepherd and its owner.
"There was a male and female associated with the offending Shepherd, who would not provide their contact information and left the scene," wrote Halm in an email to Patch.
