This year, CLCV awarded high marks to Sen. Boucher on a number of legislative initiatives, including her effort to promote land preservation, improve statewide water planning, and reduce air pollution.

“Protecting our environment is one of the most important things we do as legislators,” said Sen. Boucher. “Clean air and clean water is a matter of public health and safety. Preserving our beautiful state’s environmental assets has been and will continue to be my priority. Thanks to the advocacy of legislative watchdogs like the League of Conservation Voters, Connecticut continues to set a positive example for the rest of the country on important environmental policies. Formed in 1998, the bipartisan Connecticut League of Conservation Voters works with legislators and environmental leaders in Connecticut. Their goal is to get sustainable environmental policies enacted at the state level that affect our air, water, wildlife, open space, transportation, energy choices, and health. CTLCV helps educate state legislators about issues, notifies them about important upcoming votes, and produces its annual environmental scorecard to track their individual voting records.

“It is our responsibility to be good environmental stewards for future generations of Connecticut residents, “said Sen. Boucher. “I will continue to support common sense legislation that will preserve and protect our environment.”
