When it comes to practicing what you preach—or in this case teach—David Havens is your man. By day, Havens is St. Luke’s Science Teacher and Environmental Coordinator, but during “off” hours, he’s an active environmentalist.
This month, Havens received the 2014 Excellence in Environmental Education award from the Connecticut Outdoor Environmental Educators Association (COEEA). He was nominated by peers statewide for his work.
Kudos to David Havens for going above and beyond for planet earth.
