St. Luke's Parents' Association Annual Pie Giveaway
St. Luke's faculty & staff will have a Thanksgiving topped with sweetness thanks to generous donations made by the school's parents.
As one entered St. Luke’s School on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, sumptuous pies filled long tables from end-to-end. It was all part of the St. Luke's Parents’ Association’s Annual Thanksgiving Pie Giveaway where St. Luke’s faculty and staff each get to select a pie and then later, a second one. This anticipated annual event was organized by Faculty & Staff Appreciation committee members Suzanne Fredericks, Kristen Gunn, Penelope Jones and Lise Schonfeld and wouldn’t have been possible without the generous contributions from all the school's parents.
Once faculty and staff finished making their selections, the remaining pies were donated to Inspirica in Stamford. St. Luke's faculty & staff headed off for the Thanksgiving break extra thankful and appreciative of the St. Luke's families. As Spanish teacher Rafael Castro succinctly summed it up, "It is such a great way to start off the Thanksgiving celebration!"
