How many ways can you cut a ribbon? St. Luke's School aims to find out on April 24 when scores of makers, dreamers and creators present their ultimate ribbon-cutting machine in the 2014 Rube Goldberg Challenge.
Cut a ribbon. It sounds so simple. Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Rube Goldberg inspired legions of engineers and scientists across the world with his wacky cartoons depicting overly complicated machines designed to complete a simple task. St. Luke’s Center for Leadership is hosting its 3rd annual Rube Goldberg Challenge and has invited students, teachers, parents (and grandparents!) to form teams and begin designing machines for the competition that will kick off this year’s SpringFest 2014.
