St. Luke’s School Fifth-Grader Advances To Connecticut Geographic Bee

Do you know which Asian country is home to the Uyghur people in the Taklamakan Desert?  Fifth-grader Jackson Hart does—which is why he’s headed to the Connecticut Geographic Bee on April 4.  To qualify, Jackson conquered the SLS Middle School Geography Bee and scored in the top 100 on a statewide written exam.  Family and faculty will cheer Jackson on at the state bee held at Central CT State University. Only one of the 100 kids competing will represent Connecticut at the national level bee held in Washington D.C. on May 19-20.

And in case you were wondering, the answer is China.
