Stamford 'Mayor For A Day' Honors Go To New Canaan 9-Year-Old

The elementary school student recently spent the day with Stamford's Mayor.

STAMFORD, CT — Nine-year-old New Canaan student Jordan Alexander recently was named Mayor of Stamford, but only for a day. Alexander received the honor after winning a fundraising event for an annual fall fair, reports the New Canaan News.

Alexander spent a day with Mayor David Martin, who gave the student a tour of the government center and his daily responsibilities.

The youth's parents, Natalie and Jeffrey Alexander, grew up in Stamford, and the child's grandparents are residents of the city.
