Stop & Shop Celebrates Its 100th Year Saturday with Freebies, Sweepstakes

Stop & Shop Supermarkets will celebrate its 100th birthday on Saturday, Sept. 6 and all stores will offer customers free cake and balloons from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Also, customers who shop any time on Sept. 6 and purchase products with their Stop & Shop card will be automatically entered into the Stop & Shop 100th Anniversary Patriots Sweepstakes. See stores for complete rules and details. See stores for complete rules and details.

Sweepstakes prizes include:

• A trip for two to The Big Football Game in February 2015
• 50 pairs of tickets for the October 16th game at Gillette Stadium
• A catered tailgate party for 50 friends at the winner’s home
• Signed Patriots gear
• Five $100 Stop & Shop gift cards

In addition, select stores will offer one or more of the following:

• Balloon artists with face painting for the kids
• Sampling of Clif Bars or Produce
• Prize patrol awarding $10 gift cards to random customers with Stop & Shop products in their completed carts
