Successful Hiring Spree Reported For New Canaan Schools
The district hired dozens over the summer.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan School District successfully filed all of its vacant positions over the summer, filling 53 openings with schools set to open this week.
The New Canaan Advertiser reports that of the 53 positions, 25, or nearly half, are new teachers. Other filled positions include a nurse, custodian and other non-certified staffers.
Almost a dozen of the new teachers are slated for New Canaan High School, and the rest are assigned to the elementary schools and middle school.
