Theft from Mailboxes Investigated in New Canaan

NEW CANAAN, CT — Police are investigating the theft of mail from the 200 block of Weed Street.

The mail was stolen Friday afternoon, said Lt. Jason Ferraro, police spokesman.

"Suspects are described as 2 black males middle aged, driving a black Dodge Charger unknown registration plate," Ferraro said. "Suspect vehicle was seen on Elm Street near Karl Chevrolet dumping pieces of mail from their vehicle."

One suspect cashed a check at TD Bank for $467. He used a New York license with the name Eddie Kennedy on it.

The United States Postal Inspectors are also investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 203-594-3522.
