Thefts Reported at Waveny Care Center

Two larcenies were reported at the Waveny Care Center last week.

A 19-year-old female told police that she works at the center and that she left her purse inside an office. She noticed $15 was missing and believes the theft happened between 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on June 12.

An 82-year-old patient’s iPhone 4 was reported stolen on June 8. A nursing assistant gave the phone to another male employee, but the phone never made its way back to the patient, according to police.

Wallet contents stolen

A New Canaan High School student reported that her wallet’s contents were stolen in the parking lot.

She left her wallet inside her unlocked vehicle on June 4, police said. The vehicle was parked in the junior lot.

Between $20 and $40, her license and a credit card were taken. The card was used at Best Buy in New Haven
