They Get the Strangest Tips at Caroline's Creperie

First it was a boot. Soon there was a shirt, a dress -- and even an elephant.

Patrons at Caroline's Creperie at 155 Elm St. Have been leaving origami-like folded dollar bills for the restaurant, which then displays them behind the counter.

Caroline Kaplan, owner of the almost two -year-old restaurant, said she likes the boot best of all.

And folded money has a special place in The French native's heart: "On the first date with my husband, he made me a ring out of a dollar bill."
