Threatening, Disorderly Conduct Arrest Made By New Canaan PD
The incident occurred Monday afternoon on West Road.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 41-year-old New Canaan man was arrested Monday afternoon on charges of second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct following an incident at a West Road residence, according to police.
John Whelen, of West Road, was arrested at about 5 p.m. after police were called to the home on a report of a dispute between two people.
Details of the disturbance were not disclosed, but police said that "the victim feared for their safety," and a subsequent investigation resulted in Whelen's arrest.

He was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 5.
