Town Funding for New Canaan Hub Not Guaranteed
The town may not be able to provide $50,000 for The Hub.

A $50,000 request made to the town to help operate The Hub isn’t guaranteed.
First Selectman Robert Mallozzi said at a Board of Selectman meeting that expansion of staff or services couldn’t be considered, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
The Hub board President Bob Albus told the Advertiser that $50,000 would be critical.

Health and Human Services Commission Chairman Judy Dunn said there is $10,000 left over from the Outback Teen Center and it is in a contingency fund and the plan would be to request that money be released down the road once the center gets up and running.
