Two Burglaries Reported in New Canaan

One burglary resulted in many electronic items being stolen

Police responded to two recent reported burglaries in New Canaan.
Officers were dispatched to Birchwood Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 for a reported burglary. The front door had been forced open and items inside the house were disturbed. Drawers were open in the master bedroom, police said. The owner is still conducting an inventory of items to determine if any were taken.
On Dec. 1 police got a call about a burglary on Old Stamford Road. The owner said he closed an exterior door but didn’t lock it. The door was found partially opened.
A flat screen TV, Apple iMac, Playstation 4, Apple TV, hard drive, iPod Touch and Dell computer screen were taken.
The total value of stolen items is $2,859.
Police continue to investigate both cases.
