Two Grenades Removed from New Canaan Home

A New Canaan woman called police after discovering two grenades while cleaning out her garage.
The woman who lives on Whitney Avenue called police Sept. 30 around 4:30 p.m.
Police arrived and determined one grenade was hollowed out and posed no threat.
The Stamford Police Bomb Squad was sent over to determine the status of the other grenade. They took both grenades into their possession for further inspection.
Both were from the World War 2 era and one was determined to be Russian.
