Underage Drinking Party Scandal Leads To Sports Suspension, Consequences: Report

A New Canaan father and son have been arrested in connection with the party.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The 18-year-old New Canaan High School student, whose underage drinking party in March ended with a seriously injured student and his and his father's subsequent arrest, has been suspended from the baseball team, reports the New Canaan News.

Andrew Knight was suspended from the team, and some other students who were at the infamous underage drinking party have been required to participate in an alcohol diversionary program on Saturday mornings with their parents.

The diversionary program is administered by the New Canaan Police Department, which is using the March incident as the jump off point to launch the course.
