Vehicle Stolen in New Canaan Recovered in Trumbull After Chase: PD

One suspect remains on the loose, police said.: Breaking

NEW CANAAN, CT—Trumbull Police arrested two Stamford teens after a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle, according to police.

The incident began around 3:45 a.m. when an officer observed a speeding vehicle on Main Street near Church Hill Road, said Lt. Keith Golding, police spokesman.
The officer tried to stop the BMW that was stolen from New Canaan. After a brief pursuit the BMW crashed into a tree on Madison Avenue near Normandy Road.
Two occupants ran from the vehicle and one stayed behind because he was injured, Golding said. The injured 17-year-old male was taken to the hospital and later charged with first-degree larceny and conspiracy.
Police searched for the two other suspects with the help of Monroe and Easton officers. Residents were notified via the Trumbull Citizen Alert system.
Officer Richard Carlson and K-9 Rico tracked the suspects and found one of them in a shed around 8:45 a.m. in the area of Madison Avenue and Chapel Hill Drive. The 16-year-old was charged with first-degree larceny, conspiracy, third-degree burglary, interfering with police and operating a vehicle without a license.
The third occupant hasn't been located. A 2000 GMC Sierra grey pickup truck was stolen from a driveway on Autumn Ridge during the search. The marker plate is CS5119.
