Thieves continue to prey upon communities throughout Fairfield County.
NEW CANAAN, CT — An undisclosed number of vehicles were stolen and broken into recently in New Canaan, again prompting police to urge residents to lock their cars.
Communities throughout Fairfield County continue to be targets for thieves, because so many residents routinely leave their vehicles unlocked, according to police.
"Cars are not being locked, valuables are being taken and keys are being left in cars overnight," New Canaan police officials said in a statement. "All this results in stolen cars and lost valuables."
