The Rams defeat Naugatuck 21-12 in the Quarterfinals of the Class L Football Playoffs.

The Rams defeated the Greyhounds to advance to the semifinals for the fifth straight season.
In muddy conditions the Rams saw themselves down 6-0 at the end of the first quarter. When the second quarter started it was all Kevin Macari as he scored two touchdowns to give NC the lead 14-6 going into the half. The Rams had three turnovers but, finished the first half with 252 total yards as Macari had four catches for 132 yards.

The third quarter started with both teams playing touch defense and going into the fourth and final quarter the score was 14-6 NC.
The final quarter started with Naugatuck driving all the way down to the Ram's 22 yard line. It was the Rams defense that stepped up on the drive as on fourth down Ryan Shullman sacked the Naugatuck quarterback for a 24 yard loss . This set up a 49 yard touchdown pass from Matt Milano to Kevin Macari to make it 21-6.

Naugatuck scored on a one yard touchdown run by their quarterback to make it 21-12 but, the Rams played some strong defense to hold their lead. Cameron Armstrong had an interception with 1.38 remaining to seal the victory for the Rams.
With the three touchdown passes in the game Matt Milano, who is only a junior broke the school record for touchdowns in a season with 36. The old record was 33 set by the legendary Kurt Horton in the 1971 season.
Up next for the #3 Rams (10-1) is Saturday 12/4 when they face #2 Daniel Hand (10-1) in the semifinals of the CIAC Class L Football Playoffs at 2 or 7 p.m. site TBA.
