Wickham Cross Country Invitational

The New Canaan Running Club participated in the prestigious Wickham Cross Country Invitational in Manchester, Connecticut on Saturday, October 12, the third consecutive Saturday invitational for the middle school running club led by New Canaan High School Cross Country and Track & Field Coach Bill Martin, and sponsored by New Balance New Canaan. The Wickham Invitational is considered the largest cross country invitational in New England, with about 3,500 high school and middle school runners from Connecticut and neighboring states running the challenging and hilly course in Wickham Park in distances from 3K to 5K. It is the site of the high school state championship as well as the middle school state championship on November 1 and 2, respectively. The New Canaan Running Club matched up against some of the best 7th and 8th grade boys and girls in New England, with impressive individual performances. Below are the results for the New Canaan Running Club team from the Wickham Invitational.
