Yankee Gas Rejects Proposed 'Lay-Down Area' in New Canaan

A potential “lay-down area” for Yankee Gas at Waveny Park in New Canaan has been rejected by the utility company because the space is not secure, the New Canaanite reports.

According to the publication, First Selectman Rob Mallozzi said officials are exploring whether the most viable option may be out of town.

Although there is no formal plan, town officials and Yankee Gas have reached an understanding whereby clean sand needed for the capital work could be store this summer, the New Canaanite reports.
