Shortly before 3:20 a.m. Saturday, New Haven police officers were flagged down in the area of Ferry Street and Grand Avenue by a man who claimed he was robbed. As he talked to police, the victim pointed to the suspect's vehicle leaving a nearby parking lot, authorities said.

Officers followed the car and attempted to stop it, but police said the driver continued to flee. After authorities deployed stop sticks in the area of Rossette and Arthur streets, multiple juveniles exited the car and fled on foot, police said.
