Update: Police Identify Man, 30, Fatally Shot, Left On Sidewalk: PD

Officers found Manuel Miranda of New Haven on a sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man was shot and died early Saturday morning in New Haven, according to police.

Officers responded around 2 a.m. to a report of a shooting victim in the 100 block of Hobart Street and found a 30-year-old man on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he quickly died of his injuries, according to police.

The man was later identified by police as Manuel Miranda of New Haven.

ShotSpotter was not activated in the area, but ballistic evidence was found at the scene, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 203-946-6304 or anonymously leave a tip via 866-888-8477.
