7 Firefighters Injured In Large New Haven House Fire: Reports

Several people managed to escape the multi-story home in the 400 block of Dixon Avenue, reports say.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Seven firefighters suffered minor injuries after battling a large house fire on Dixwell Avenue Monday night, according to multiple reports that cite the New Haven Fire Department.

Several people managed to escape the multi-story home as smoke and flames poured from the windows of the upper floors around 7 p.m., according to the Hartford Courant.

A search of the building found no victims, New Haven Fire Chief of Operations Daniel Coughlin told the New Haven Register.
