9 Gunshots Rang Out Early Wednesday On Daggett St., Man, 47, Shot: PD
After a gunfire report, police learned the gunshot victim had driven himself to Yale New Haven Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Early Wednesday morning, an officer heard gunshots and called it in and at the same time, ShotSpotter alerted authorities to nine gunshots outside a Daggett Street address, police said.
Soon after, dispatchers told officers responding to the scene were told that a 47-year-old man, a gunshot victim, drove himself to Yale-New Haven Hospital, according to New Haven police spokesperson Capt. Rose Dell.
The man suffered a non-life threatening injury, she said.

Detectives from the department’s Major Crimes Division as well as the Bureau of
Identification responded to the scene to investigate. They collected ballistic evidence and
searched for witnesses and video surveillance. No description of the "assailant(s) is available,
thus far," Dell said.
