After 5 Years, Frank Pepe's Closing Its First Florida Location In Plantation, on Edge Of Everglades

The legendary pizzeria already has a Delray Beach location and is looking to open in West Palm Beach.

NEW HAVEN, CT — In the late fall of 2021, the legendary near-century-old Frank Pepe Napoletana announced it was opening its first Florida location.

Plantation, Florida, is on the eastern edge of the Everglades in Broward County, southeastern Florida.

Now, Pepe's is closing that location effective April 4.

"After five great years, we have made the decision to not continue our lease" at the 321 N. University Drive location, the eatery posted to Facebook.

Pepe's said it's pursuing a "new opportunity" in West Palm Beach.

Pepe's already has a location in Delray Beach, also in South Florida on the Atlantic coast.

"We’re incredibly grateful to our Plantation team and the many loyal guests who have supported us over the years," Pepe's wrote on Facebook. "Our commitment to South Florida remains strong, and we look forward to welcoming you in Delray Beach and soon in West Palm Beach."
