NEW HAVEN, CT — A car reportedly left the highway and landed at an underpass Monday night, according to WTNH News 8 and state police.
In an email to Patch, state police said at 11:55 p.m. Monday, Troopers from Troop I responded to a report of a vehicle rollover that went down an embankment on I-91 South in the area of Exit 4.
Serious injuries were initially reported. Two people were transported to an area hospital. The highway has been reopened.
In an update, New Haven police told News 8 that one person has died in the crash and another person is seriously injured. An ID has not yet been released. Read more at WTNH News 8.
