New Haven police responded to the 100-block section of Derby Avenue for a gunshot victim, the department posted to "X," Thursday morning.
Police spokesperson Offcier Christian Bruckhart said the call came in at 10:29 a.m.
The victim is a 42-year-old New Haven man whose injuries are "critical/life-threatening," police said.
