Armed Trespasser Arrested: New Haven PD

The man struggled with officers and was found to have a gun, according to police.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police arrested an armed man after he was found to be trespassing in an apartment hallway after allegedly selling drugs, accordign to police.

A man complained to police that a drug dealer was conducting business in an apartment common hallway on Elsworth Avenue Feb. 19, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.

Police struggled with the man who said he was armed with a knife, Hartman said. He had a knife, plus a .32 caliber handgun.

Philip Pervis, 27, of New Haven was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, first-degree criminal trespassing and interfering with police.
