Bank Robber Sought In New Haven
He wore a hat with three embroidered dollar symbols during the heist.
NEW HAVEN, CT — City police are seeking a suspect in a robbery that took place at the Key Bank on Church Street Monday morning.
The perpetrator passed a note to a teller that demanded money, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman. No weapon was shown, implied or mentioned and there was no violence.
The robber fled on foot down Elm Street and toward State Street and likely ended up on Grand Avenue.

Description of suspect: The robber is a medium complexioned black man standing six feet or taller with a stocky build. He wore dark colored pants or dark denim jeans, white sneakers, a plaid black and white button down shirt and a black flat-brimmed baseball cap with “$$$” embroidered on the front. He sports a short beard and mustache and was wearing silver rimmed prescription eyeglasses.
