Burglar Found Sleeping on Victim's Sofa: New Haven Police
The victim saw the break-in unfold on a surveillance system. She was not home at the time of the burglary, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven Police say a burglar was found asleep in the victim's sofa. At 7:04 a.m. police responded to an Eastern Street home after the homeowner’s phone alerted her to a break-in, police said. While en route, the officers were told a white man had entered the home through the front door, police said. He was wearing a Pea Coat. The caller, who wasn’t home, was watching the burglar roam about on a live feed provided to her phone from her surveillance system, police said.
When the officers arrived, they found the intruder. He was fast asleep on the living room sofa, police said. Garrett Connors, 27, of Holbrook Place in Ansonia woke up and told the officers he and his two friends were let in by a woman he named but he had no other information, police said. A search of the home, showed no others inside, police said.
The video link was sent to the cops. It showed Connors enter the home alone. He was charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree criminal trespass.
