ARTISTS’ STATEMENT:
Sheldon Krevit will be showing some of his most highly prized works in his farewell to KLG exhibit, some of which haven’t yet been exhibited in CT and others not since the mid 1980’s. Mystic-Heated Wine - Selections from the Vault will offer the opportunity to view rarely accessible work from this New Haven native. Mr. Krevit has had a long and distinguished career, and his work is represented in public, private and corporate collections.website
Dganit Zauberman invites viewers to experience a body of work evoking the land, the earth, and the human condition. “My process is improvisational, responding to the oil paint on the surface, allowing chance—mixing, erasing, moving—to guide the work.” Through this exploration Zauberman temporarily creates chaos and seeks revelations until the landscape emerges. Native to Israel, Zauberman earned her BFA from the University of the Arts in 2008, earned her MFA at PAFA in 2011 and currently paints in her studio in Erector Square, New Haven. website
Kehler Liddell’s other members will have an expanded presence in the gallery this month, in addition to a brief community exhibition entitled the “6-Squared Art Jam” in support of the Westville Village ArtWalk, May 5-9th. More information on our website
