Fair Haven Community Health Care (FHCHC) and the Yale Medicine-Pediatrics (Med/Peds) Residency Program will celebrate one year of partnership with the planting of a Gingko tree - a symbol of healing, resilience, and longevity at Criscuolo Park on Tuesday, May 19 at 5:30 p.m.
Since the start of the Med/Peds Residency Program at FHCHC, residents have embraced the theme “Bloom Where You Are Planted,” focusing on building meaningful connections within the Fair Haven community. Throughout the year, the program has engaged with community leaders, connected with local organizations and resources, and explored the neighborhood’s rich and dynamic history.
“We are so thankful for the support and hospitality of everyone at Fair Haven,” said Benjamin Doolittle, MD, MDiv, Program Director of the Yale Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program. “The warm, mission-driven spirit of Fair Haven very much matches our own.”
“Welcoming the Yale Med/Peds Program to FHCHC has been a partnership rooted in shared values of service, education, and community health,” said Sue Lagarde, CEO of FHCHC. “We are proud to celebrate this milestone together.”
The tree planting ceremony will recognize the strong partnership between FHCHC and the residency program, while celebrating a shared commitment to community health, education, and service.
Community members who wish to attend are invited to RSVP to events@fhchc.org. Following the brief ceremony, guests are invited to attend a reception at a local restaurant.
