Over 500 Walkers Expected To Raise More Than $100,000 For This Year’s Benhaven Walk For Autism

The Benhaven Walk for Autism returns on October 11! The morning begins at 8:15 AM with registration at New Haven’s scenic Lighthouse Point Park, followed by a 2-mile walk. Afterward, join us for a post-walk celebration featuring a ride on one of the country’s oldest running carousels, music, Naples pizza, popcorn, a raffle, bubbles, kids’ activities, and more! Over 500 walkers are expected to raise more than $100,000 for Benhaven. A virtual walk option is also available for those unable to attend in person. Learn more at www.jbsports.com.

All proceeds benefit Benhaven, a local non-profit serving individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and related conditions. A portion of the funds will support the renovation of the Green Barn to create a home for the Children’s Behavioral Health Services Clinic.

Benhaven’s mission is to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to participate in community life, make meaningful connections, gain employment, and experience personal satisfaction and happiness.

Walkers are encouraged to fundraise for the walk, as this is the most impactful way to support the organization. Those who raise $200 or more will receive a complimentary entry. A raffle will be held during the event, with proceeds going directly to Benhaven.
