Could Win An iPad: NHPS Summer Fun Fitness & Reading Challenges Set

NEW HAVEN, CT — The city’s parks will be the settings for Fitness and Reading Challenges sponsored by the New Haven Public Schools on July 7, July 19, and July 28.

Superintendent Dr. Iline Tracey will have a brief talk on the wonderful parks New Haven has to offer and the importance of Fitness and Reading.

Join Dr. Tracey and our Fitness Collaborator, mActivity, take a walk through the parks. The group will meet back at the entrance of each park, where Dr. Tracey will be encouraging students, families, staff and community members to exercise.

Students, families, and community members are encouraged to join the fun as mActivity Health and Fitness offers pre-walk warm-ups and stretch exercises. The first 25 students to register for each walk will receive a water bottle from mActivity. All students and families completing the challenges will receive a book and be entered into a raffle.

July 19th, 2022 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon: Edgerton Park, meeting at entrance, 75 Cliff Street, New Haven, CT 06511

July 28th, 2022 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon: Farmington Canal Greenway, meeting at Bassett Street Entrance, 213 Bassett Street, New Haven, CT 06511
