Details On Brief Power Outage Planned In New Haven

Here's when the power is expected to go out due to a United Illuminating system test.

During the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 7, United Illuminating will be conducting system testing at its Quinnipiac electrical substation in New Haven to maintain the reliability of its energy grid, officials announced in a news release.

During this procedure, which will be conducted between 3 and 5 a.m., customers in some areas of New Haven, East Haven and North Branford may experience a brief service interruption. This is expected to last less than 5 minutes.

Customers may wish to check clocks and electronic devices that typically need to be reset following an outage.
