Domino's Delivery Driver's Car Stolen: New Haven PD

He left his car running and unlocked, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A Domino's delivery driver's car was stolen after he made a food delivery, according to police.

The 19-year-old victim was delivering two pizzas and other items to a home on Elm Street around 11 p.m. Aug. 18 when he spotted several people lurking around, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.

He left his Nissan Altima running and unlocked. Someone jumped in the car and took off as the customer was checking the order. To sign up for New Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.

"Officers detained someone described by the victim as a possible conspirator," Hartman said. "He was interviewed and released. The car thief has not been apprehended. The victim was unharmed. The profits of his fourteen prior deliveries disappeared with his car. The case remains under investigation."
