A 3-year-old and a 2-year-old boy were run over by a motorist.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police issued an infraction to a 28-year-old New Haven woman after she ran over two children as they tried to cross Howard Avenue near First Street Aug. 6.
Daycare workers tried to stop traffic to allow the children to cross the street in what a witness said was a "human chain." A 3-year-old boy form Bridgeport and a 2-year-old boy from Milford were struck and run over by a motorist, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.
The motorist stopped and has cooperated with police. The children were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. To sign up for New Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.
